Kurzfassung: The research and development of vehicle headlamp systems aim to improve traffic safety and comfort, as well as provide communication possibilities between the driver and other road participants. Current research in this field divides the entire illumination distribution into a large number of individually controllable pixels. With this high-resolution light distribution, active lighting functionalities in terms of adapting illumination patterns, reducing glare, and projecting lighting content in front of the vehicle can be realized with the collaborative work of vehicle sensors.
